Major League Baseball Venue

This project covered the high-traffic areas of a professional baseball park in downtown Denver, Colorado, home to the city's Major League Baseball franchise. The scope centered on heavily used concourses and restroom facilities, where more than 20 years of tough hygiene routines and constant foot traffic had worn down the original protective coatings. The venue needed a durable, food-safe, great-looking upgrade, installed fast.

The Challenge

The Problem

The venue needed a coating that met the highest green credentials, with zero VOCs and zero toxicity, to protect applicators, staff, and the public before and after installation. It couldn't force any compromise on hygiene, so it had to stand up to strong disinfectants rather than requiring weaker ones. It also had to look good for fans rather than merely institutional. After two decades of heavy use, the surface was dull, gashed, and cracked, so the coating needed to self-level, fill and hide those imperfections, protect against further deterioration, and add a premium feel. All of this on a tight three-day turnaround.

The Approach

The Solution

Lifetime Green Coatings brought directly relevant experience: coatings in commercial and private garages, and on ship decks still intact after more than 25 years, environments defined by heavy foot and vehicle traffic. It's ANSI/NSF-61 rated for contact with drinking water, meaning zero concern over toxic emissions even from the cured product, and carries a Class "A" flame-retardant rating. Its permanently retained flexibility and ability to re-bond to itself years later set it apart from conventional epoxies, which micro-crack within days when substrates flex, vibrate, or take impact.

Why It Works

Why It Works

After preparing a clean, completely dry surface, we applied Lifetime Green Coatings by hand to a depth of 40 to 50 mils. The coating's adhesion is roughly double that of conventional epoxies, so applicators wore full eye and face protection along with coveralls and gloves throughout. The finish was given a decorative flake blend in the team's colors, tying the upgraded floors into the venue's identity.
